Domantas’s story

A little boy’s big dream

Domantas, the foundation’s little hero, is only five years old. Not long ago, he was attending kindergarten, playing football and basketball, and dreaming of becoming a basketball player when he grows up.

What seemed like a simple flu suddenly changed everything—his legs began to hurt, he started limping, and soon after, he lost the ability to walk altogether. After medical tests, it became clear that this was not a complication from the flu, but an oncological disease.

A leukemia diagnosis instantly changed the life of this young boy—treatment with chemotherapy began shortly after.

The road ahead is still long, which makes positive emotions and bright moments especially important for Domantas during this time.

Despite painful injections and intensive treatment, Domantas continues to dream bravely. He wishes to have a PlayStation 5 with his favorite games so he can play together with his brother.

His brother is not only his best friend but also his inspiration to keep moving forward and never give up.

Domantas also dreams of attending a game of the Žalgiris basketball team with his brother and experiencing the feeling of the entire arena chanting the name of their team.

He is still very young and doesn’t fully understand what is happening, but he can feel that his world has suddenly changed.
